Major areas of research:

  • Described 3 new species of helminth parasites of economic importance and also discovered a new technique for processing of soft biological materials for electron microscopy.
  • Described surface fine topography, an interface between host and parasite of more than 30 different species of helminth.
  • Current research interest include chemotherapy of parasitic infection involving traditionally used medicinal plants in North-East India.
