Major areas of research:

  • Enzyme function, structure and its regulatory mechanisms (both transcriptomic - and proteomic - regulation).
  • To dissect these phenomena in the important metabolic enzymes (eg., PEPCK) using primarily enzyme kinetics, protein expression and purification, x-ray crystallography and other molecular and biophysical approaches to develop effective modulators, from medicinal plants, of PEPCK.

Research Interest:

  • Chromatin modulations by epigenetics factors in breast cancer.
